Με μιά νέα φωτ. μηχανή που απέκτησα (Canon EOS 5D MK IV) έχω αναβαθμίσει την ανάλυση και την ποιότητα των λήψεων, αλλά η μεγάλη αδυναμία μου παραμένει η σύνθεση. Προφανώς η φαντασία δεν είναι το δυνατό μου σημείο!
Πριν μερικούς μήνες φωτογράφισα τα Αναφιώτικα. Είναι ένας οικισμός όπου κατοικούν, κυρίως, απόγονοι εργατών οικοδόμων που μεταφέρθηκαν από την Ανάφη για να χτίσουν την κατοικία του βασιλιά 'Οθωνα. Στους πρόποδες της Ακρόπολης έχτισαν και τις δικές τους κατοικίες με την αρχιτεκτονική του νησιού τους. Αν βρεθείς εκεί νομίζεις ότι είσαι σε αιγαιοπελαγίτικο νησί!
Αν ζείτε στην Αθήνα (ή την επισκευθείτε) θα είναι μιά ευχάριστη εμπειρία να κάνετε μια βόλτα στους στενούς δρόμους των Αναφιώτικων.

After several years of abscense, i decided to bring back to life my photography blog that, has, by now, reached ...adolescence! As expected, most of my old, frequent visitors are no longer active. Most of them have abandoned their blogs or even closed them alltogether. Some years ago we were a lively crowd. We would even have occasional "get-togethers", photo shoots and parties.
I have recently upgraded my gear with a new camera (Canon EOS 5D MK IV). I now have better resolution and better image quality; However, my weakness remains composition. Imagination, apparently, is not my strong point!
Some months ago I ventured a photo shoot at Anafiotika, a settlement inhabited, mostly, by descendants of building workers that were moved in from the island of Anafi, to help build the residence of Otto, the early king of Greece (who reigned after the Greek revolution of 1821). These workers built their own homes at the foot of the Acropolis hill, based on the architectural style of Anafi, their home island. Visitors feel as if they are on an Aegean island!
If you live in Athens (or are visiting) it would be quite an experience to take a stroll in the norrow streets of Anafiotika.
